Out of respect to this private conversation, I am posting here what my thoughts are on the above listed title.

It most definitely is something that varies GREATLY from relationship to relationship.  I have had all different sorts of tasks to do.  Some Doms have their subs do domestic tasks.  Some have to do more sexually themed tasks.  I think it depends on the couple and how their lives are.  Personally, I have done online research for my Owner…looked up plane tickets, made CDs, done book reports and reading assignments.  Some sexual tasks have been practicing oral sex on toys, using a butt plug, having to masturbate at work in the bathroom.  Honestly, it’s all up to the Dom and what his personal tastes are.  There is no “one size fits all.”  

As far as what being “owned” means to me…it means that my body belongs to my Dom.  He can use me in whatever way he pleases.  I am there to serve him in whatever capacity he needs me.  That could be for friendship, love, sex, domestic tasks, etc.  In my giving him service, he gives me love, protection, guidance, and the control I need to feel fulfilled.  I see D/s as a sort of ying/yang harmony and balance.  I don’t see tops and bottoms, I see a circle.  One cannot exist without the other and there is mutual need.  I satisfy his need for control and mine to submit.
